This week’s puzzle is a bit of an experiment with lower on-board complexity, reminiscent of our earlier designs.
Player: 1 Life Field: Master of Diversion w/ Lashknife, Sultai Scavenger, Tortured Existence Lands: Swamp x3, Plains x2 Hand: Cho-Manno's Blessing, Aurora Eidolon Graveyard: Qarsi Sadist, Agent of Shauku, Blind Hunter, Monk Realist Opponent: 5 Life Field: Vampiric Link (enchanting Master of Diversion), Seraph of Dawn, Gurmag Angler w/ Nimbus Wings
Solution
1. Cast Cho-Manno’s Blessing on Gurmag Angler, giving it Protection from White and removing Nimbus Wings.
2. Attack with all. Master of Diversion taps Seraph of Dawn. Opponent has to block Master of Diversion with Angler, but because Angler has Protection from White, no damage is dealt and the opponent doesn’t heal from Vampiric Link. Opponent to 2.
3. Second main phase, pitch Eidolon to Tortex to retrieve Qarsi Sadist.
4. Play the Sadist, exploiting a creature for lethal.
Alternate solution:
Return, play, and exploit Sadist pre-combat, and give Scavenger protection from black. Then attack with both creatures, tapping Seraph of Dawn. Scavenger gets through and deals lethal damage with the Vampiric Link trigger still on the stack.

It has first strike so wouldn’t the trigger resolve before the other deals damage?

The solution is correct for an older version of the puzzle, but yes.
